Weyerhaeuser Arrangement
Growers, Packers and Shippers (“Sundia GPS”) can take advantage of Sundia’s relationship with Weyerhaeuser in several ways.
Primarily, Sundia GPS receive rebates from Weyerhaeuser based on volume. Additional rebates are offered for any packaging containing the Sundia name.
Rebates can go as high as 2% on all Weyerhaeuser products or 5% on any Sundia branded products.
In addition to the rebate, Weyerhaeuser is offering Sundia GPS:
- Preferred treatment and timing when developing and delivering packaging and services support to the Sundia GPS.
- A comprehensive vendor managed inventory program. Generally, this assures each member will not winter over any of our packaging materials in excess of a truckload. Material will be relocated and credited to the grower.
- Forecasting and product pre-positioning services nationwide with pack-out summary and ship to reports.
- Special pricing on Sundia branded bins at stock bin pricing.
Rebates to members will be applied to all bulk related products purchased in that quarter.
In addition, Weyerhaeuser is committed to the melon market and is working with Sundia to provide collaborative marketing resources in support of the Sundia Brand development through various channels into the marketplace.
Domestically, Weyerhaeuser Bulk will integrate the Sundia Watermelon promotional into our retailer marketing program beginning with the 2006 4th of July campaign.
